The north of lake Garda

The northern part of the lake is narrower due to the presence of Monte Baldo on both sides. It is an ideal place to practice many water sports such as windsurfing and kite surfing due to the presence and regularity of the winds that blow there. By heading towards the north you will come across 2 of the most popular resorts, Malcesine and Limone.

Malcesine: The town is charming, and the setting is excellent. A castle guards the waters, while mountain slopes rear up behind the clustered buildings. A cable-car can take you right up to the top of the Monte Baldo, where the air is fresh and cool, the views are stunning, where you can take refreshments at a choice of cafes and restaurants.

Limone : it is a small traditional but most popular resort on the northwest shore of the lake. It has a magnificent setting next to craggy cliffs and rambling fruit groves. Old streets lead from the lakeside promenade up to a gentle hillside with its luxurious Mediterranean vegetation. The atmosphere and colours are just magical. Difficult to describe ….a visit is a must!!!

Riva del Garda: Here is the dramatic end of the lake, with mountains rising on both sides. This attractive northern town lying comfortably on the shore with its impressive surroundings can offer a huge range of activities for everyone. MOTOR BOATS HERE ARE PROHIBITED.
